Garden Planner by Level

I have put this garden guide together which balances wildlife with leveling up, for anyone that may find it useful, either by checking your level against what is “Recommended” or by planting every garden listed. It assumes that you want to plant all required flowers for leveling up, with only a few extra here and there, along with your herbs, and cacti. You can follow it step by step, level by level, and you will level up just fine. I am also assuming that you have a little more patience, than perhaps…… me! Until about level 10 I could not stand having an empty pot, or a flower ready to be harvested. I have come to slow it down just a bit, realizing that it’s not a race. You may find that you need to wait around just a little longer before you harvest some flowers, but this is the choice you need to make for yourself if you want levels or wildlife. This is the balance between them. It’s also too tricky for me to describe how to do it more efficiently, so that is why I have it garden by garden, but it should work out pretty well.

There are some flowers listed that you might want to diamond dust, early and often, get them to flower and replant. (Bellis Lycaena, anyone? – you need 14 of these!) I had not been planting these all along so had to take time out and plant an entire garden of them. Actually, it was a pretty rainbow garden, and brought many birds, but it was the result of me not planning from the beginning (I didn’t even know that you need 2 of each color until after I had already spent a lot of gold dust getting my first rainbow of colors). So that delayed me from leveling. You could actually do an all Bellis garden, and have more room for other attractants in all of your other gardens. Side note: If you see the Bellis listed as Yellow or Blue, you want to make sure you plant that color either way in order to keep out Brown Bunnies.

You may wish to grow herbs as they become available, but as far as wildlife is concerned you may want to wait, and grow them all at once, or at the opportune moment. For example, you will want to grow Sundragon Herbs at level 6 in order to hopefully *minimize* the Hedgehogs that come to your plate, so that you have better chances withe the Badger. This list should be helpful in your planning, but ultimately you will need to make your own decisions about what you want to grow and when. The way I have planned it out, you will not be playing with Herbalism too much until much later. If you can’t wait, then you can’t wait.

If you want to plant more randomly, then by all means, do it! Different gardens make visiting them more exciting! However, if you don’t feel like taking the time to figure out what you need to plant and when and why and how, then here is the garden list for you! As I have not personally tested these gardens, I would appreciate any feedback about using them or even your thoughts in general! Use at your own discretion. Make your own changes where necessary, but check your wildlife guide or ask questions to make sure you’re making the right change.

@-}– With a moderate amount of diamonds, you can diamond dust/fruit dust the main attracting flowers to speed up the process of bringing in the wildlife. You don’t need to dust the other flowers. Just use them as your “timer” of when to move on. If you don’t have many diamonds, then don’t worry about it. See flowers marked with this: @-}–

—LEVEL 1— Recommended: Orient yourself with the game
At least 2 Bellis Lycaena, preferably more (see note 2) – sprinkle a little diamond dust on one of them as soon as you plant it so that you can harvest it asap, and open your garden to more spots. Plant lots more Bellis ASAP!! You may notice that there is another flower available (Cumulus Albiflorus), but don’t worry about that, and don’t bother planting it just yet. We will revisit this flower when you have more experience, more visitors in your garden, room to plant more than 2 of them (which is important if you don’t have a strong mushroom), and a high level magic mushroom.

—LEVEL 2— Recommended: Grey Squirrel
6 Bellis Lycaena (see note 2) @-}–
2 Carmena Uniflora (see note 2)
1 Raised Table/Nuts (in FLOWER)

***NOTE 2: If you haven’t read the intro to this planner (above), please read first. You WILL need to gold dust your Bellis Lycaena and Carmena Uniflora to give you the exact colors that you need if you want to stay on this timeline. Your first goal is to grow one of every color Bellis by level 6. Your second goal is to repeat the first goal by level 10. As you are growing, keep in mind that you will need a Yellow or Blue Bellis for your Lop garden.

Grow some collectable fruits! Have some fun with Fructus Randomus. There are seven fruits. As far as attracting the Tortoise, Percy Pineapple is the most tastiest. The Grape and Strawberry are also pretty appetizing. So let’s hope you are lucky and get one of those fruits!

***NOTE 11: You will want to ration your diamonds for the following 3 levels making sure you keep minimum 42 diamond dusts for level 13 and if possible 21 for level 12 and if that means none for level 11, then so be it. It all depends on your play style, because some people diamond dust a lot and some people don’t. If you will have enough diamonds then dust away, and if not then concentrate on a very rare critter that you want and give your garden the time to do so. Or catch up on some other critter that you’ve missed.
